01/ our service
Lead generation agency UK what we run for you
Six parts, built in order. Each is yours to keep: the lists, the domains, the sequences and the data stay with you when the engagement ends.
01
ICP and a written definition of a qualified meeting
Firmographics, roles and buying triggers, agreed with your sales team, plus what counts as a meeting worth having. Every report is measured against it.
02
Signal-led account lists
Accounts that fit, then the people in each buying group, enriched and verified in Clay and our own Postgres database. We start with accounts that have a reason to talk now: a new hire, a funding round, a new market, a visit to your pricing page.
03
Cold email that reaches the inbox
Separate sending domains with SPF, DKIM and DMARC, warmed mailboxes and low daily volumes, so your main domain is never at risk. Short first emails that say why now.
04
LinkedIn outreach from your team
Connection requests and messages from the founder's and sales team's own profiles, paced well inside LinkedIn's limits, alongside the content that makes those profiles worth accepting.
05
Qualified meetings, handed over properly
Replies triaged the same day, meetings booked into your calendar with context on the account and the signal, and a weekly review with sales of what was held and what it became.
06
Compliance built in
UK GDPR and PECR handled from the start: corporate versus individual subscribers, a legitimate interests assessment, TPS and CTPS screening if calls are involved, and one do-not-contact list across every channel.
Lead generation is one part of what we do. For the full system — positioning, content, account-based marketing and demand generation — see how we work as a GTM agency.
02/ engagement
How we engage four ways to work with us
All four start with the same set-up. The difference is who runs it afterwards.
How much of the outbound do you want to own?
Handover
We build it, you run it
We build the outbound system — lists, domains, sequences, reporting — then train your team and hand it over.
- ✓ Signal-led account lists
- ✓ Authenticated sending domains
- ✓ Sequences and templates
- ✓ Full documentation
Best for teams with someone in-house to run it.
Handover + support
We hand over, then stay close
Everything in Handover. Then a consultant stays on one or two days a week to optimise and troubleshoot.
- ✓ Everything in Handover
- ✓ Weekly optimisation
- ✓ Deliverability monitoring
- ✓ Slack and email support
Best for teams building their own capability.
Embedded
We run outbound as part of your team
Daily campaign management, reply triage, testing and weekly reporting. You take the meetings.
- ✓ Daily campaign management
- ✓ Same-day reply triage
- ✓ Meetings booked into your calendar
- ✓ Weekly meetings-held report
Best for teams without the time to run outbound.
Scale
Outbound inside a full GTM partnership
Outbound alongside ABM, founder-led content and demand generation, run from one data layer.
- ✓ Outbound plus ABM
- ✓ Founder-led LinkedIn content
- ✓ Paid LinkedIn to target accounts
- ✓ One shared data layer
Best for teams ready to run several channels at once.
What it costs. Every engagement is scoped and quoted in writing after the discovery call. Data, tools and sending infrastructure are separate lines.

03/ the first 90 days
How our lead generation engagements run from list to meetings
- 01
Agree the ICP and what a qualified meeting is
Firmographics, roles and triggers, written down with sales, plus the definition of a meeting that counts.
WEEK 1 - 02
Build the list from signals
Accounts that fit, then people in the buying group, enriched and verified. Accounts with a reason to talk now go first.
WEEKS 1–2 - 03
Set up the infrastructure
Separate sending domains with SPF, DKIM and DMARC, warmed mailboxes, TPS and CTPS screening where calls are used, and a shared do-not-contact list.
WEEKS 1–3 - 04
Write for the signal
A short first email that says why now, a LinkedIn touch, and a call for the best-fit accounts. Fewer steps, more relevance.
WEEKS 2–3 - 05
Launch in small batches
Test two or three angles on a few hundred contacts, read the replies, then scale what works.
WEEKS 3–4 - 06
Review meetings, not activity
Weekly: meetings booked and held, fit, and what sales thought. Monthly: opportunities and pipeline created.
WEEKLY

04/ the discipline
B2B lead generation accounts, not form fills
LinkedIn describes lead generation as turning interest into names and contact details, where demand generation creates the interest in the first place. In B2B, a lead generation agency usually means something more specific: an outbound team that finds the right people, contacts them and hands your sales team qualified meetings, not a spreadsheet of names.
The unit that matters in B2B is the account, not the individual lead. Forrester puts a typical purchase at 13 internal stakeholders and nine external influencers, so a good programme reaches two or three roles in each target account rather than one person repeatedly.
And B2B buyers are harder to reach cold than they were. Gartner found 61% prefer a rep-free buying experience and 73% actively avoid suppliers who send irrelevant outreach.
In the UK and Ireland, buyers are 57% of the way through their journey before contacting any vendor. Relevance is now the price of entry.
How to generate B2B leads
Start from a tight ICP; build a list of accounts that fit; find a reason to talk now for each; reach two or three people in the buying group with a short, specific message; follow up across email and LinkedIn; and hand every reply to sales the same day. Then measure meetings held and pipeline, not emails sent.
Lead generation, demand generation and ABM
Lead generation captures and converts interest; demand generation creates it across your market; account-based marketing concentrates both on a named list of accounts. Outbound works best when buyers already recognise your name.
More in demand generation vs lead generation.
05/ outbound
Outbound lead generation and when inbound is better
Outbound lead generation means you start the conversation: cold email, LinkedIn outreach and calls to accounts that have not asked to hear from you. Inbound means buyers come to you through content, search and referrals.
Outbound is faster to switch on and easier to aim; inbound compounds and converts better once it works.
Most B2B teams need both. Outbound fills the calendar while inbound and brand build up, and inbound makes outbound work better, because a cold email from a company the buyer has already heard of gets read.
We cover the trade-off in inbound vs outbound marketing.
Outbound is the wrong first move when the ICP is unclear, the offer can't be explained in two sentences, or there is no one to follow up on the replies. We will tell you on the first call if that is where you are.
06/ build or buy
Outsourced SDR or in-house SDR? what the benchmarks say
An SDR (sales development representative) prospects and books first meetings; outsourcing means an agency provides that capacity. The Bridge Group's 2025 report surveyed 351 B2B companies, 78% in North America and 83% SaaS — treat the pay figure as US; the ramp, tenure and quota figures travel better.
In-house SDRs learn your product and market, and that knowledge stays — but there is recruitment, a manager, tools and data, and a three-month ramp repeated every time someone leaves. An agency starts faster with the infrastructure in place.
Our usual path: we prove the channel and the message, then help you hire and hand the playbook over.
07/ meetings
Appointment setting for B2B sales teams what counts as a meeting
Appointment setting is the part of lead generation that ends in a calendar invite: a qualified conversation between a buyer and your salesperson. It sounds simple, and it is where most disputes with agencies start, because "booked" and "held with the right person at the right company" are not the same thing.
So we agree four things in writing before anything is sent: the ICP the account must fit, the roles that count, the minimum agenda (a problem you solve, not a courtesy call) and that it counts only once held. Pay-per-appointment models live or die on that definition too; see how lead generation is priced.
08/ LinkedIn
LinkedIn lead generation outreach from your team’s profiles
On LinkedIn, the message comes from a person, so the profile matters as much as the message. We run outreach from the founder's and sales team's own profiles, alongside regular posts that give a prospect a reason to accept.
You will read that LinkedIn allows 100 invitations a week. LinkedIn does not publish a number.
Its help centre says all members are subject to limits, and that accounts can be restricted for sending many invitations in a short time, for invitations ignored or marked as spam, or for automation. It also caps a network at 30,000 connections, and a withdrawn invitation can't be re-sent to the same person for up to three weeks.
Under PECR, a LinkedIn direct message counts as electronic mail, so a message to a sole trader follows the same consent rules as email. Paid LinkedIn — lead gen forms and company-list ads — sits with demand generation.
09/ check before you send
Can we contact them? a quick PECR check
Pick who you are contacting and how. The answer comes from the ICO's guidance, and it is the same check we build into every programme.
Who are you contacting?
How?
Allowed
Yes — PECR consent is not needed
PECR's electronic mail rule does not apply to corporate subscribers (companies, LLPs, Scottish partnerships). Say who you are, give an opt-out, and remember UK GDPR still applies to a named person's data.
ICO guidance ↗ · Not legal advice
10/ UK rules
Cold email and calls in the UK GDPR, PECR and the TPS
We build every programme around these rules. The ICO says its PECR guidance is under review after the Data (Use and Access) Act, so check the current version.
This is not legal advice. Whoever runs your outbound should be able to say where contact data comes from, which lawful basis applies, how sole traders are handled and how objections are recorded across every channel.
11/ getting delivered
Cold email deliverability the mailbox providers’ rules
Since 2024 the big mailbox providers have enforced sender rules. Break them and your domain lands in spam.
How we meet them. Separate, authenticated sending domains you own, warmed before use; low daily volumes per mailbox; every address verified before sending; and sending paused the moment complaints rise.
13/ the phone
B2B telemarketing and cold calling where the phone still wins
In some sectors decision makers still answer the phone — logistics, construction, facilities, manufacturing — and a good caller learns things no email reveals, such as when a contract is up for renewal. In others the phone is mostly voicemail, and email and LinkedIn do the work.
The rules are specific: live marketing calls are allowed to business numbers not registered with the TPS or Corporate TPS, unless the person has objected, and you must display your number. Automated calls need specific consent.
We add calls for the best-fit accounts, after an email or LinkedIn touch, rather than running a calling floor. If you need a dedicated telemarketing team, the specialists at the bottom of this page do that well.
14/ the data layer
Clay, Apollo and AI SDRs tools, not a strategy
Most modern outbound runs on a data layer: a contact database such as Apollo, an enrichment and workflow tool such as Clay, a sequencing tool for email and LinkedIn, and increasingly AI to research accounts and draft first lines. We build ours in Clay and our own Postgres database, so the list, the signals and the history belong to you.
AI SDRs — software that writes and sends outreach on its own — are new enough that the Bridge Group's 2025 report listed them as a distinct category for the first time, at 1% of respondents. We use AI for research and first drafts, and a person checks every message before it goes.
The tools make volume cheap, which is exactly why volume stopped working. The advantage now is choosing the right accounts and having something specific to say to them.
For tool comparisons, see LinkedIn Sales Navigator vs Apollo.
15/ measurement
Lead generation funnel and KPIs what we report
These are our working measures, not industry benchmarks; we don't publish target ranges because we could not find any we trust. The same thinking about lead quality is in MQLs vs SQLs.
16/ SaaS
Lead generation for SaaS and software companies
B2B SaaS has its own shape: often a product people can try, a buyer who researches alone, and a market full of competitors emailing the same people. Signals matter more here — a new hire in the function you sell to, a job post that mentions the problem you solve, a trial sign-up from a target account — because generic outreach is everywhere.
For early-stage SaaS, founder-led outbound usually beats an SDR team: the founder's name opens doors and the conversations shape the product. We set up the system around the founder first, then hand it to the first sales hire.
17/ what it costs
How lead generation is priced retainer, per meeting or per lead
Most agencies quote after a call. These are the prices published by specialist firms listed further down, as a guide to the market.
Retainer, per meeting or per lead. A retainer pays for a team or a channel. Pay-per-appointment adds or substitutes a fee per qualified meeting.
Pay-per-lead sounds safe but rewards volume over fit. Whatever the model, agree in writing what counts as a qualified, held meeting before any per-meeting fee applies.
18/ before you sign
Eight questions for any lead generation agency including us
01
What counts as a qualified meeting?
In writing: the ICP, the role, the agenda, and whether it must be held, not just booked.
02
Where does the data come from?
Sources, verification, lawful basis and how sole traders are handled under PECR.
03
Whose domains and accounts?
Separate sending domains you own, or theirs? Whose LinkedIn profiles? What happens to them at the end?
04
Who writes the messages?
Someone who learns your market, or templates? Ask to see live sequences.
05
Who does the work?
Where they are based, how long they have been there, and how many clients each person works on.
06
What do you report?
Meetings held from ICP accounts and pipeline created, not emails sent or open rates.
07
How do we leave?
Notice period and break clause, and the hand-over of lists, sequences, domains and history.
08
What do you need from us?
Fast follow-up by sales and feedback on every meeting. An agency that asks for nothing is guessing.
19/ walk away
Red flags in a lead generation proposal what we would question
Guaranteed leads or reply rates
Easy to hit with loose definitions and bought lists; says nothing about pipeline.
Sending from your main domain
One bad campaign can hurt every email your company sends.
Thousands of emails a day from day one
Mailbox providers watch volume and complaints; so do buyers.
"GDPR doesn’t apply to B2B"
It does, whenever a named person's data is used. PECR adds rules for sole traders and calls.
A fixed LinkedIn invite number
LinkedIn publishes no weekly limit; aggressive automation risks your team's profiles.
Long contracts with no break clause
Several firms publish 30-day or 90-day terms. Ask for one.
20/ specialists
Specialists worth knowing for what we don’t do
We lead with signal-led email and LinkedIn. If you need a large phone team, a sector telemarketing specialist or sales reps based in North America, these firms specialise in it. Each line is what the firm says on its own site, checked on 28 September 2026.
