B2B video agency ten production firms, and where video fits your pipeline

A B2B video agency makes the explainers, product demos, customer stories and ads your buyers watch before they ever talk to sales.

This page compares ten B2B and SaaS video firms we checked on their own websites on October 16, 2026, with prices only where they publish them.

It also covers what a production brief usually leaves out: which video goes where in the motion, how LinkedIn video ads and Thought Leader Ads work, how sales teams use video in outbound, and how to measure any of it in pipeline rather than views.

One thing up front: GTM Quest does not make videos.

We are a GTM agency that plans where video sits in your go-to-market and runs the distribution, and we work alongside production firms like the ones below.

01/ the service

What a B2B video agency does and the part it usually does not

A B2B video agency turns a complex product, a customer result or a founder's point of view into a film people will watch.

The work runs from the brief and script through storyboard, filming or animation, voiceover, edit and delivery of the cuts you need.

What most production firms do not own is distribution: which audience sees the video, on which channel, in what order, and what happens when someone watches.

That job sits with your marketing team or a go-to-market agency.

A strong film with no plan behind it becomes a homepage asset that a few hundred people see.

Wyzowl's 2026 survey found 59% of video marketers make their videos in house, 32% use a mix, and 10% rely only on an external vendor.

So most teams buying from an agency are adding to work they already do, which makes a clear brief even more important.

B2B video production company, video marketing agency, SaaS video agency: what is the difference?

A B2B video production company makes the film to your brief.

A B2B video marketing agency adds strategy, and sometimes paid distribution and reporting.

A SaaS video agency specializes in software: product UI animation, launch films and demo videos.

A creative subscription gives you a monthly allowance of video and design.

Ask which of these you are buying before you compare prices.

02/ five jobs

Where video fits in a B2B go-to-market motion format, channel, measure

Every B2B video should have one job.

These are the five we plan most often, with the channel each runs on and the number that tells you it worked.

VideoTypical length and formWhere it runsWhat to measure
Explainer60 to 90 seconds, animated or mixedHomepage, product pages, top of sales decksDemo or trial requests from pages carrying the video
Product demo1 to 3 minutes, screen-ledProduct pages, follow-up emails, onboardingMeetings booked after a demo view; trial activation
Customer story90 seconds to 3 minutes, filmed interviewSales follow-up, case study pages, retargetingUse in late-stage deals; win rate where it was sent
Founder-led or expert LinkedIn videoUnder 90 seconds, vertical or square, captionedFounder and employee profiles, then Thought Leader AdsVideo views by target accounts; follows; inbound from ICP
Video ad15 to 30 seconds per cutLinkedIn video ads, retargeting audiencesCost per view from target accounts; pipeline from engaged accounts
Sales videoUnder 1 minute, webcamOutbound sequences, meeting confirmationsReply rate, meetings held, no-show rate

Wyzowl found the most common types made are social media videos (69%), explainers (68%) and testimonials (57%); product demos (39%) and sales videos (37%) trail.

In most B2B motions we see the reverse need: demos, customer stories and sales video sit closest to revenue.

Founder-led video and Thought Leader Ads from one post to a paid program

This is where most B2B video now gets seen.

The sequence below is how we run it; every LinkedIn rule quoted is from LinkedIn's own help pages.

Record short, captioned, vertical

A founder or subject expert speaks to one problem the ICP has, in under 90 seconds.

LinkedIn accepts video ads from three seconds to 30 minutes and recommends 15 to 30 seconds to qualify for every placement, and lists 4:5 vertical as the recommended ratio.

Burn in captions or upload an SRT file.

06/ outbound

Sales video in outbound short, specific, and measured on meetings

The cheapest B2B video is a rep on a webcam.

It does not need an agency.

It needs a reason to record: a signal that this account may be in market, such as a new leader, a hiring spree or engagement with your founder's posts.

Length matters.

Vidyard's analysis of nearly a million videos made on its platform found that when a video is under one minute, 65% of viewers stay to the end; over 20 minutes, only 20% do.

That is a video tool's own customer data, not an independent study, but the direction matches what we see.

Vidyard also claims BDRs who use video for first touches see up to 5x more replies, and that its own meeting-confirmation videos cut its no-show rate by 33%.

Treat both as vendor claims to test, not benchmarks to promise.

Run video against a no-video control on the same signal and the same list.

Where agency video helps outbound

Agency-made assets earn their place mid-sequence: a 60-second customer story from the prospect's industry, or a product demo cut to the exact workflow the signal suggests.

We build that matching into outbound in Clay, so the asset sent depends on who the buyer is and why we are writing now.

See GTM engineer for how that is built.

What drives the price: live action vs animation, number of shoot days and locations, how many people appear on camera, how much product UI needs animating, voiceover and music licensing, and how many cuts you need for each channel.

Ask for cutdowns in the original quote: a 15-second LinkedIn cut made later costs more than one planned in.

Wyzowl's survey shows cost is a real barrier: among marketers not using video, 24% say it is too expensive, the same share as those who say it is not needed.

09/ the brief

How to brief a B2B video agency eight things to put in writing

01

One audience

The exact role and company type the video is for.

A CFO and an engineer need different films.

02

One job

Explain, prove, reach or start a conversation.

Pick one.

A video that tries all four does none.

03

Where it will run

List every channel up front: site, LinkedIn ads, outbound, sales follow-up.

Each drives length, ratio and cuts.

04

The cuts you need

Main film plus 15 to 30 second ad cuts and vertical versions.

LinkedIn recommends 15 to 30 seconds for ads.

05

The proof points

Real customer results you are allowed to say on camera, with sign-off from the customer.

06

Product access

A demo environment with clean data, and who on your side approves how the UI is shown.

07

The measure

The number you will judge it on, agreed before production: meetings, pipeline, win rate, not views alone.

08

Ownership

Raw footage, project files, music licenses and the right to recut.

Get it in the contract.

If positioning is not settled, fix that first.

A video only says what your messaging already says, more vividly.

See product marketing agencies for help with the message itself.

10/ measurement

What to measure views are where most teams stop

Wyzowl asked video marketers what success looks like.

Video views (67%) and engagement (63%) came top; leads and clicks (52%) were next; bottom-line sales (32%) came last.

The same survey found 17% of video marketers are not sure what share of budget goes on video.

Views are easy to count and weakly tied to revenue.

In B2B, measure by job: for awareness video, views from target accounts, not total views; for proof video, use in active deals and the win rate where it was sent; for sales video, replies, meetings held and no-shows.

Then compare pipeline from accounts that engaged with video against accounts that did not.

Ask buyers too.

A "how did you hear about us?" field on the demo form, read by a person, regularly names a founder's video that no attribution tool credited.

A horizontal bar chart of how video marketers define success, from video views at 67% down to bottom-line sales at 32%.

11/ by stage

Video signals that move an account forward what to watch for, and the next play

Reach the buying group

The signal

Several people at a target account watch founder or Thought Leader Ad videos

The play

Keep them in a video-viewer retargeting audience; add the account to outbound

Owner: Marketing

12/ walk away

Red flags in a B2B video proposal what we would question

No question about distribution

If the agency never asks where the video will run, the cuts and lengths will be wrong for half your channels.

Views as the success measure

Views are the most common measure and the least tied to revenue.

Ask how they will help you track meetings and pipeline.

Revisions without limits, scope without edges

Unlimited revisions are fine.

An undefined deliverable list is not.

Get every cut, ratio and length named.

You do not own the files

Without raw footage and project files you cannot recut for a new campaign, and you pay again.

Stock footage passed off as your story

B2B buyers spot it.

Ask what will be filmed or animated new, and what is library material.

Promised virality

B2B video wins by reaching the right few hundred people at target accounts, not millions of strangers.
